Pete

Pete used to go to a gym four times a week for over a year but wasn't really noticing anything different in the way he felt and looked.

Pete made it clear to me from the start he didn't care how long or how hard it would be but he was willing to give it a go.

We started off by looking at his lifestyle and I asked him to write down his weekly food intake, including how many tablespoons of sugar he put on his cereal from the time he woke up in the morning until he went to bed. The following week we went through his food intake together and we made up a new diet plan, followed by a new workout.

The workout focused on using free weights. At first we started to meet two times a week at a local gym I use. If Pete didn't have time to get to the gym, I would bring my barbells and dumbbells to his house.

Day one of his workout focused on Pete's chest and back; day two, legs, shoulders and arms. Both days were followed by some interval training which included a thirty minute jog/sprint with Pete's heart rate over 65% of maximum heart rate.

Pete is still one of my regular clients and a good friend as well.
